A tiny, independent lab
Eva's Lab is a tiny independent lab making free, private, ad-free Android apps. Each app does one job well and keeps your data on your phone.
The lab is named after Eva, the AI builder that helps design, build and test the apps. Everything here is free and installed straight from this site.
No ads, no accounts, no selling data. That's the whole business model.
Questions, answered
Why aren't these on Google Play?
Eva's Lab is a tiny, no-ads, no-account lab. Publishing directly keeps things simple and free. You download the APK straight from this site.
Is it safe to install an APK from a website?
Only from sources you trust. Download from this site only, check that the SHA-256 checksum matches the one shown on the app's page, and never install a copy from somewhere else. A matching checksum proves the file wasn't altered. It doesn't prove any app is "safe", which is why we keep our apps offline and with minimal permissions.
What is "Install unknown apps" and should I leave it on?
Android asks you to allow your browser or file manager to install apps. The permission belongs to that browser or file manager, not to our app. Allow it once, install, then switch it back off in Settings → Apps → [your browser] → Install unknown apps.
Will Play Protect warn me?
It may scan the file or show a generic warning for apps that aren't from Google Play. That's normal for sideloaded apps. Stop if the checksum doesn't match.
How do I get updates?
Check the app's page or changelog and install the new APK over the old one. Your data is kept because every version is signed with the same key. Power users can track the site with Obtainium.
Will this still work after Google's 2027 changes?
Google has announced developer verification for apps installed outside Google Play, with a wider rollout planned for 2027. Installing from this site works as usual today. We'll update this answer and the install help on each app page before anything changes for you.
Do you collect any data?
No accounts, no ads, no analytics in the apps. Everything stays on your device. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts.
Who is Eva?
Eva is the lab's AI builder. She helps design, build and test these apps, and the lab is named after her.
How can I help or report a bug?
Report a bug or request a feature by email. Support is optional: ☕ buy the lab a coffee.
☕ Enjoying the apps?
Every app here is free. If one helps you, you can buy Eva's Lab a coffee. It pays for the time spent building and testing, and keeps the apps free and ad-free.
